He has a few foodie creations already. They are all called the Trevor Special. This particular Trevor Special was a salad made of cantaloupe, spinach, sugar snap peas, celery, cheese, deli style chicken wrapped in whipped cream cheese and cut in pieces, and 4 mini marshmallows. Then for dessert he enthusiastically created a candy salad made of 1 smashed peppermint candy cane, 1 bag of fruit nuggets and about a dozen mini marshmallows.
I said the prayer before we ate-- thanking God for the food, that it's clean and healthy, that we don't have to be hungry and to make those boys strong and healthy. I said, "Thank you for making Trevor a good cook and bless his hands that he would use them to share and bless others."
And our son said, "Mom, that prayer--- I think I'll do that. …. I think that's a yes."
He seems to always keep in mind that some answers to prayers are yes, some no, and some are wait.
A while back he had such resistance to praying and it both stumped and disturbed me. When he finally opened up about it, he said he had asked God to be able to a force field and, much to his deep deep dismay the answer was "No. Never."
Thanking God for this, too.
