Spring Adventuring

We spend a lot of time on the greenbelt.

Here is one of the best adventure trails.  It has bushes, river, logs, and some poison oak to watch out for.

We did a quick 1-hour fishing trip to the pond across the river.  I know all that floaty stuff looks yucky, but it's mostly sticks.  There was a nice old man that helped me get the boys' fishing poles fixed.  He showed me the school of trout and where to catch them.  I was so thankful!

These BEST buds walked to the library.

Beautiful.
My nostrils are not perfectly symmetrical like I expected them to be.  : )

We watched the ponies run.  Click this picture to see it enlarged.  The 5 furlong race was on when I took this panorama and you can see multiple pictures of the same horse.  I love this view.  All of that open space makes me happy and calm.

Watching the horses in the ring between races from the grandstands.
We hiked Seaman's Gulch.  It was warm, busy, and the blue sky and good friends were a gift!

Then we rode our bikes up here.  It's way up there.  It was Trevor's first trip on his 20 in HotRock Specialized mountain bike.  Joel helped Scott pedal from the seat of the Trail-a-bike.

Scott and Joel made some early seat adjustments for Trevor.

The view just gets better and better.  I LOVE the foothills.

Trevor is the toughest kid I know.  It is a hard climb.  Well, Scott counts 5 hard climbs, but they all seem to run together to me.  He made it without too much discouragement and rode down faster than I did.  Scott and I were so amazed.

Isn't that gorgeous? !

The spring rain gave these foothill grasses a lot of color.
