It's a day to embrace the heat, play in water, chow down, blow up stuff, chill out, and laugh with friends.
So that's what we did.
This isn't the 4th. But close enough. You've got the obviously fried foliage that kissed the spring rain goodbye weeks ago, the vibrant blue sky and green trees of the northend sandwiched between them.
Camel back hike altogether.
Our local firework provider.
This is serious business. They might also call it wonderful business.
It takes toothpicks and time to shop fireworks.
And here is the 4th of July warm up.
Our friend Kristin organized a bike parade for the kids and it was a great turn out!
I gladly took on the Costuming Director role and Casting Director. Jason Hill was a phenomenal Uncle Sam in the First Annual Sam Popsicle Chase.
Joel likes to try riding big bikes.
This sums up the look of the day.
We checked out the chalk art festival after floating the river. It's in it's 4th year I think. I love chalk art. You get to vote on your favorite.
I don't know what chickens and tigers have to do with Independence Day except we're embracing our freedom of speech.
Insert here pictures of eating a lot with great friends.
