Squeezing in the summer fun

We tried to get a lot in this last summer.  And I think we did a pretty good job.  The crafty projects I'm interested in trying are still 99% uninteresting to the boys.   However, knives, bows, arrows, guns, and making money were pretty high on their list.

We paid our local library several visits.  As usual.

I LOVE how they eat up the stories as soon as we get in the car with our big stack.  I let Trevor check out the dumbest books-- because I want him to love reading.  His favorite was "Ook and Gluk- Kung Fu Cavemen from the Future."  There was a lot of giggling as Trevor read it to his brother.

Rock throwing is most fun in summer.

Minnows are plentiful in August.

Trevor caught a LOT.

Scott had a nice downhill ride from Bogus.  I wish he could do more.

Apple guy.   I can't help making pictures with food.

Eat your colors, Joel!

The youngest is getting in on the "fun."

We went to Pine Flatts hot springs!

Awesome place.

What is boyhood without playing with fire?

And what's more exciting than wood chopping?

How about some shooting to round out the fun?  This is NOT okay to do in a campsite, btw.  Don't do it.

And who has really sweet, camp saavy friends?  We do!!

Mr. Swan apparently DID need coffee.  And admitted it.  I love this guy.

We also rode down the greenbelt to watch the people surf the river.

We went to Joe's Crab Shack for the best deal on desserts this side of the Pecos.
