Sawtooth Relay

That place is majestic. Seriously wild and amazingly fresh.
If you haven't been, you must go.
This month we camped in Stanley with some new friends and woke up at 3am to run a 60 mile race over Galena Pass to Hailey, Idaho.  Each person runs approximately 10 miles total.

I can't believe I'm saying this... but it was fun! But I should have known.  I mean, pretty much anything with my husband is fun.  He makes doing the dishes a party and ripping out 128 rosebushes an exciting challenge.

Halfway up the summit.
I had the second leg which started around 5am.  It was still very dark and my headlamp isn't bright enough to see wolves ready to pounce or crouching pumas. I almost stepped on a MOUSE.  Yick.  I seriously had some adrenaline from fear alone.   It worked to my advantage because I passed 5 people and had a good time for me.

Scott climbed to the summit.  That's a pretty steep, long run and he killed it like I thought he would : )

My second run was about 1 min/mile faster and I'd like to thank gravity for that.  Running on a slight downhill was so much fun!

Scott on the climb.

Me and my new friends Speedy Sam and Nice-Booty Angela.

Me and the guy that makes all my days.
