10 years

Ten years ago I married the man of my dreams.

He is steadfast, exciting, cheerful, wise, strong, tenderhearted toward me and more than a best friend.  I am more than fortunate.  I love this man more every year.  

October 2003.  Just basically completely giddy and in love.

A trip to McCall Winter Carnival 2003.  I got to meet some extended family who knew I was about to become a fiance.

To celebrate, we stayed at The Shore Lodge which has been recently remodeled.

Even though I appreciate and liked the old school look,  the new decor is sleek and cozy and beautiful.

I love the coat rack made of skis.

Don't you love these awesome high back chairs and tree trunk coffee tables all glossed up.

Then we picked up the boys who were staying with their Papa.

And doing tricks at the skate park:

And we brought weapons, too.

And took trips to awesomely epic lookouts:

We had the chance to check out the lookout's station.  It's cool and I don't think I'd enjoy being there during a storm.

Check out this old phone they used to use.

This map helps them pinpoint areas.  Now they rely more computerized methods, but computers can't replace everything, and lookouts are still important.

Larry's talkin' shop I think.  I can't remember.  I was paying more attention to the two little bulls in the china shop looking out open windows on this very tall precipice and also asking to go downstairs to look around.

Scott helped paint these rails during a slow time when he worked fighting fire.

Scott and I sometimes have photography contests on our trips.  Here he is trying to stage a winning photo by telling the boys to do "grandpa pants."  I should state here that neither of their grandfathers wears pants hiked up like that. : )
