Around this house, we are in a constant mode to motivate a toddler into eating more (quantitatively and qualitatively speaking). We have explored many methods and one of the most efficient is that of taking away a recently prized toy. Tonight it was the puppy and it motivated our son to eat 1 bite of egg with very very little resistance. Hooray!! Having the hard part of the night over, I was offering some other options and this conversation came up.
Mommy: ".....I'm just asking you to eat your bread so you will grow big and strong. Who do you know who is big and strong?"
Trevor: "Jesus!" (enthusiastically)
Mommy: "Yes He is! Do you know anyone else who is big and strong?"
Trevor: "Jesus is strong."
Mommy: "Jesus is strong. Is Daddy big and strong?"
Trevor: "Not yet."
The picture is from some puddle jumping exercises yesterday. We put on his "gross" shoes and stepped outside after the rain. We found a few worms, too, that Trevor called "germs." I think I may have influenced that verbage.
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom"(Isaiah 40:28)

Not Yet! But some day I sure hope to be.
Great photo of Trevor. Quite reflective!
Can a 2 year old have baby vitamins? Maybe that would stimulate some of the 'need to eat cells'.
