Books in the mail

I sometimes share the exciting task of getting the mail and opening it with Trevor. Yesterday we got the REI catalog and I asked him to read it to me. After he thoroughly smelled all of the pages (something he has learned from the Macy's perfume samples) he told me this story to these pictures:

"This boy is climbing shelves." Climbing shelves is a no-no around here, but it looks pretty sporty to Trevor.

"He's reading God's word."

"Peoples walking."

The new REI catalog-- a very good and smelly book.

CUTE!!!! I love this...the simple act of narrating makes is a great way for toddlers to use their critical thinking skills! And an enlightening tool for the parents (ie: those fleshly desires such as climbing shelves.) :o)

Keri,
Your ability encourage Trevor to explore every opportunity to use his imagination is inspiring. Not to mention the delight of humor you two bring to your parents and all your family!!
