fishers

We bought the boys some fishing poles at Fred Meyer for $8/pole.  I love them because they came with a trick bobber that hides the hook until it's in the water.  That means less chance of one boy hooking his brothers cheek on accident while he's learning to cast.    Also, since I'm not in love with fishing, the investment was low.  We've had a couple of chances to try them out.

The first was in Hagerman right outside the fishery.  It was a stocked pond, but we didin't have any bites.  At all.

Joel gladly stepped in to boss  help his cousin.

These birds caught WAY MORE than anybody on the pond.

Fast forward a few weeks and we find ourselves in McCall on a quiet Monday morning with a sweetly stocked pond all to ourselves.  It is a pond for kids only.

Serious business here.
